Stu and I did some research on the best transportation options for those of you coming in from out of town, and we thought we’d share what we found here on the website. While the Best Western offers a shuttle service, there is a potential charge to use it and one needs to call ahead and let the hotel know when one would like to use the shuttle. The fee to use it is a little complicated- they told us that if a guest has a room at a discounted rate, the charge to use the shuttle would be the difference in the room charge. However, if one paid the full, non-discounted rate for the room, the shuttle would be free. Since most of the people staying at the hotel are staying in discounted rooms, Stu and I suggest using alternate transportation. We looks at the rates at a couple places, and we recommend booking a taxi through Portland Taxi, or if you prefer to pay a bit more and be very well taken care of, we can highly recommend using Oregon Towncar. Of course, if you are planning on doing some sight-seeing while here, we would suggest renting a car at the airport. As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
